Board Chairperson

Associate Professor and Chair for Sustainable Human Settlements at Nelson Mandela University. He seats in many boards, has worked in the public sphere for more than 20 years.

Mr Lawrence Ramashamole
Head of Subcommittee:
Finance, Audit & Risk

CEO of Housing Authority of East London, Former President of Institute of Housing in SA, Former President of NASHO. Occupied various positions in the field of housing and housing finance over the past 32 years. He has a background in the banking sector in South Africa.

The First Black President of the Institute of Housing in the Southern Africa.  Served in many Council Boards with rich experience in the field of housing and strong networks internationally.

Mr Brendan Boyce

Lecturer at University of Fort Hare in Human Settlements, with passion in community development. He served in various roles in Higher Education Institutions, was director in the NDoHS leading Professionalisation of the human settlements Directorate.

Ms Kuhlekonke Ntuli

Masters Students in Housing at the University of KwaZulu Natal, who was the former SRC President in UKZN.  She is public speaker who has passion about youth and women empowerment.

Former Executive Mayor for Nelson Mandela Bay Metro, Commissioner for GBV, Chair for NGO focused on Human Settlements. Currently a member of Advisory Panel for Department of Water and Sanitation and Council Member at NMU

Chief Director on Community Based Programme at the EC Department of Transport. Up to 10 years of Senior and Executive Management experience from 22 years of total work experience, 19 years of which have been in advocacy, citizens, and civil society engagement, stakeholder engagement, strategic management, public finance and other areas.

DR ADV. JAN TLADI

Non-Executive Director

Advocate of the High Court of South Africa, Holds PhD from North-West University on Business Management. Held various positions in government. Currently with the NDOHS is a Head of Ministerial Business Support Unit and project leader to facilitate establishment of the Human Settlements Ombudsman.

Mr Thandolwethu Mteto
ADMINISTRATOR AND COMPANY SECRETARY (INTERIM)

A human settlement practitioner, graduated at Nelson Mandela University, currently pursuing his Masters degree in Construction Management in the same University. Up to 2 years experience within Affordable Housing environment.

 

Mr Sthenjwa Ngcobo
CHAIRPERSON OF THE PRACTIONERS FORUM

Chief Director in Gauteng Department of Human Settlements with demonstrated experience in the government. Currently finalising the Masters Degree in Human Settlements and Spatial Planning from UFS. Holds an MBA, Med, Hon in Spatial Planning. BEd and has done M.Phil with thesis outstanding.

CHAIRPERSON OF THE ACADEMICS FORUM

Experienced Director and Academic at the University of the Free State in Human Settlements. With a demonstrated history in working in real estate development industry and low income settlements development.

Mr Tahula Rofhiwa
CHAIRPERSON OF THE YOUNG PROFESSIONALS FORUM

Graduate of Human Settlements Degree at Nelson Mandela University, working at Infrastructure South Africa in the Presidency, currently doing Masters in Housing at WITS and has held different leadership roles.
